Seven excommunicated over alleged abuse of tradition

The people of Ezemese community of Ibusa in Oshimili-North Local Government Area have excommunicated seven members of the community found guilty of unrepentant and continued abuse of tradition and custom of Ibusa.
The excommunication was contained in a release signed by the eldest Diokpa of the community and Umuekea quarter, Isinka Pius Nwanze; Ojiso F.K Oweleke (Diokpa of Umuezeagwu), Onowu S. Ofuokwu, (Diopka of Ogbeowele); Sir Augustine Ajufo (Diokpa of Umuehea) and Chief P.J Okonicha (Iyase of Ibusa).
The seven were said to have paraded someone as the Iyase of Ibusa as against the current and government-gazetted Iyase, Chief P. Okonicha.
The statement implored the public to be weary of the excommunicated members, and their off-springs, as they have lost all rights due to sons or daughters of the community
